New features in Converter 1.2.4

This version fixes an issue with premium licenses, it provides a minor performance improvement, and it allows premium users to keep blocking cookies to third party web sites.

Type Feature Example Comment
domain name update Updated the domain name for the licensing server n/a The old domain I was using for licensing fell into disuse, and the domain renewal lapsed, which caused the licensing mechanism to cease working. This version fixes that issue.
minor performance improvement Using asynchronous requests instead of separate threads n/a Previous versions used to start new threads when communicating with the Converter server, which added a little unnecessary overhead to the resources being used. This version uses asynchronous requests in the main thread instead.
privacy fix for premium users Third party cookies can be blocked by premium users n/a Previous versions used to use cookies in order to validate the license on the Converter server, which meant that premium users had to have Firefox configured to accept third party cookies on all websites if they wanted to take advantage of Converter's premium features. This version eliminates cookies altogether from the licensing verification mechanism.
